Pax, a fox, and Peter have been inseparable since Peter rescued him as a kit. When Peter's father enlists in the military, Peter is sent to live with his grandfather three hundred miles away - without Pax. Peter decides to head out on his own, despite the encroaching war, with the goal to reunite with his beloved fox. Meanwhile, Pax, has adventures of his own as he steadfastly waits for his boy. Ages 10 - 14 are welcome. Upcoming read for January: I Survived: The Children's Blizzard of 1888 by Lauren Tarshis.
