Teens are invited to pick out a wrapped “mystery book”—no judging by the covers! Join us for light activities, first-page readings, and a surprise book to check out and take home.

Teens are in for a surprise during this one-hour “blind date” with a book! Each book will be wrapped and labeled only with short clues like “secret identity,” “twists,” or “spooky vibes,” and participants will choose their reading “date” without knowing the title. Once they’ve unwrapped their books, they’ll read the opening pages, share first impressions, and take part in short, low-pressure activities designed to spark conversation and curiosity.

This program encourages teens to try something new, explore different genres, and discover hidden gems in the YA collection—all in a fun and relaxed environment. At the end, they’ll check out their mystery pick and take it home. Perfect for adventurous readers and reluctant ones alike!
