In less than a year, Brandon Weis hiked four major trails, over 7,000 miles. His book, This Is Gonna Hurt: Thru-Hiking the Appalachian Trail, Pacific Crest Trail, Continental Divide Trail, and Arizona Trail in a Calendar Year, narrates the journey. The U.S. Triple Crown of hiking includes the Appalachian Trail, the Pacific Crest Trail, and the Continental Divide Trail. More people had walked on the moon than had completed the Calendar Year Triple Crown!

Join the MCLS as the author recounts the journey. His odyssey details inclement weather, wildlife encounters, and the extreme and unpredictable experiences of solo hiking. This exciting Lunch and Learn explores his remarkable feat of endurance, willpower, and the heights of human achievement.
