Sarah Culberson—Princess Sarah—will be at Secrest Auditorium on March 23, 2023, at 9:30 AM. She wrote A Princess Found, which chronicles her connection with her birth father and her discovery that, in her father’s country of Sierra Leone, she is a princess.
Don’t think palaces and glass slippers, though: think of a valiant woman starting with her brother, Sierra Leone Rising, a foundation that supports education and infrastructure needs in a country still recovering from a brutal civil war.
Sarah grew up in a loving adoptive family in West Virginia and will share her story, distribute awards to school winners of the Mary Helen Straker Award in Writing, and announce the grand prize winner of that competition on March 23.
All MCLS locations will have book discussions about A Princess Found throughout February, alongside free copies for the first 350 people who visit.
The ebook version of A Princess Found is free and instantly available with your library card from hoopla. If you would like help accessing hoopla please email techhelp@muskingumlibrary.org or call 740.453.0391 ext. 150.
