Elson Hall Room 189Learn practical American Sign Language (ASL) in this 5-week series for families, caregivers, educators, CODAs, and anyone who wants to communicate with loved ones or explore interpreting.
This 5-week American Sign Language series is designed for families, caregivers, educators, nurses, and anyone who works with children or individuals with developmental disabilities. It’s also perfect for those who want to communicate with loved ones using sign language or anyone curious about a future in interpreting. Each week covers a practical theme so participants can begin using ASL immediately in real-life situations. The series is inclusive of CODA families and anyone who wants to strengthen communication skills across generations. You can drop in for any class or attend all five sessions.
This program is offered in collaboration with Access Muskingum, an advocacy organization supporting deaf and hard-of-hearing community members in Muskingum County. Their website includes helpful resources, including a list of interpreters in Muskingum County. www.accessmuskingum.com
