Get ready for a warm and glowing winter adventure! In this special December session of Homeschoolers Explore, we’ll discover how lights play an important role in winter celebrations around the world.

From twinkling Christmas trees and Hanukkah menorahs to Diwali lamps and Kwanzaa candles, through stories, hands-on activities, and a bit of science, kids will learn about the meaning and magic of light during the darkest time of the year.

Then, we’ll roll up our sleeves for a sweet treat: creating our own mini gingerbread houses! Children will use icing, candy, and imagination to build and decorate their own edible masterpieces to take home.

Dress for a mess.
