How to use Ellis Island and Castle Garden records to find your immigrant ancestor.

Castle Island opened to immigrants in 1855, and for the next 35 years, more than 8 million people passed through, especially from Germany and Ireland. Ellis Island was opened in 1832. Participants will find clues to help locate when their ancestors immigrated.
